Recruitment Advertisement

Can you please share how your campus advertises for recruitment? How do you get the word out? Thanks!

For what kind of recruitment? Fraternity? Sorority? Service GLO? Formal rush? Informal rush? COB? We need more info to give you a response that will help you.

We'll I'm looking at NPC Formal Recruitment in particular. I know there isn't a standard that works for every campus but any ideas can help in brainstorming. I'm looking for ideas that we haven't though of before.

If you have a fall recruitment, doing move-in is always the most influential thing my campus did to advertise. All of the sorority women dressed in their official recruitment shirts, and obviously not allowed to speak about their own chapters, helped each girl move into her dorm- lots of lifting, but also a great way to set up conversations with the girls and their parents, to get them comfortable with the idea of recruitment.

We also chalked before they arrived, and sent out packets in the summer to all incoming freshman (with info on NPC & IFC).

On my campuses we had:
A PHC booth to tell about recruitment.
Chalkings (sidewalk chalk saying recruitment fall 20xx september xx register now.)
A facebook group with info. Often posted a link to said group to the Class of XXXX group.
During orientation weeks there were often chalkings, signs, and I believe pamphlets that were handed out. Often Greek life was talked about by the orientation leaders, usually because someone asked a question or because many of the leaders were Greek.
