My friend was recently dismissed from our sorority because of grades. I was wondering if there was a way to appeal this or what should be done

We have no way of knowing this. She needs to talk with her standards/honor board or a regional or national officer.

she might also want to try and get her grades up first. If there is an appeals process (and as Titchou says, we don't know), it will probably take a while, and if she can prove she is working on her grades (summer classes with good grades, proof that she is using a tutor, etc.). Plus getting her grades up can only help her in the long run anyway...
