Recs -- Is One Enough?
 

Hey -- want to check in because I don't want to ill advise anyone. I do a lot of recs every year, but this year numerous people are asking me if "one rec per chapter is enough."

I know it's great to get two, but if someone doesn't -- will that one be enough?

I've done recs for girls headed to UGA, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Georgia Southern, South Carolina, Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Mizzou. Very competitive schools, all of them, and like I said, I don't want to give incorrect info. I've never been asked this before.

It depends-on the sorority and their membership criteria, the PNM, her accomplishments, GPA, presentation, the rec. itself plus various other considerations. Having more than one rec. should not hurt her chances, however, having numerous recs. could...overkill.

If the PNM gets both through the AA, and they pretty much say the same thing (i.e. neither alumna knows her in advance), I don't think it really does much to help her.
