Interested in Alpha Phi Alpha
 

I'll be a freshman this year a HBCU and I have always wanted to be an Alpha. Just trying to get some advice on what I need to do as a freshman interested in pledging.

Andre, this is not the proper way to gain information on becoming an Alpha. Please do not disclose any further personal details, read the Alpha Phi Alpha section of GreekChat, and visit the official fraternity website. Also, and perhaps most importantly, get to know the Alphas on your campus when you get there.

Turner, there is not any direct way to seek membership. Just meet a couple of the brothers at your university. Let that be the start.

Thanks to both of you for the feedback. I'll do that, but I was just asking because I'm going to a HBCU, and I'll techinically be starting as a first semester sophomore. I'm older (24) so I was just trying to see if that makes much of a difference.

What if several memebers of the organization im intrested start adding me on social sites? Does that mean i have a good shot of gaining acceptance into the org?
