Sophomore Looking to Rush
 

I am an upcoming sophomore, at a small college in Alabama. I rushed my freshman year and was dropped because of my low high school GPA. I am interested in rushing again in the Fall, my college GPA is a 2.78 and I am not sure if this is going to be high enough or not. I was looking for some insight if anyone could tell me if they thought this would be a good idea or not. I know many sororites have different GPA requirements. Thank you!

You'd be better off asking this of your Greek Life office. We can't speak for all campuses.

And you don't really know why you were dropped.

Actually they told us cuts on the 1st night were strictly grades, and after recruitment I was told that it was grades

What you're told doesn't always = reality.

Membership selection is private. There's really no way to tell if you were definitely cut because of grades.

However, if your high school GPA looks like your college GPA, this could definitely be the case. I won't say that you're guaranteed to be cut this time around - no one here can tell you that - but you definitely need to focus on your studies.
