Eighty-six blessed years of awesome. |
When George Lindsey (Goober) died just a few weeks ago, I was surprised to learn Andy was still alive.
I understand he was not a very pleasant person to work with. But maybe that's why he was so good at what he did. RIP. |
Oh no :( My heart just dropped reading the thread title.
RIP |
RIP to a well known Sinfonian.

Another childhood icon is gone. Very sad.

RIP indeed, to both a great Sinfonian who exemplified our values in so many ways and a great Tar Heel who dearly loved North Carolina. |

Our favorite, though, was always "What it Was Was Football," which is on YouTube but I'm having trouble linking it. |
When I was a little girl,we would always come back in the house from playing just in time to watch the show and eat PB and J sandwiches. Thanks for the memories Andy!

RIP Andy. My late BFF had an autographed photo of him in her house

From a hick, hill billy in "no time for sargeants", from mayberry to matlock.
what a great career and so very well thought of. Not any greater than Andy. |
What it was, it was football was my all time favorite, too.
