Rush?
 

I'm going to be a sophomore at a Big 12 school. I didn't rush because I was a little timid but I so wish I would have. I rushed a service sorority this past spring and enjoy it but am looking for something a little more.

Would you all recommend me rushing as a sophomore? If so, any tips?

Depending on which Big 12 school and if you keep an open mind you might possibly be able to have a successful recruitment. You will need to have recs for every house and they need to be in very soon. Also your grades need to be good, and hopefully you have met some "Greek Women" and have friends in the houses.

I am in the process of getting recs and I am at the University of Kansas, if that says something.

If you don't go through some form of recruitment, there is no chance of being in a sorority. If you do go through, there's a chance you will get into a sorority. How big is that chance? We can't really say because there are too many factors. As long as you go in realizing that some chapters may cut you simply because you're a sophomore and don't take it personally if you don't get a bid, then you might as well go for it. The worst case scenario is that you're in exactly the same situation you're in right now. Best case scenario, you get into a chapter of women that you love and who love you.
