What do you guys think of this jackass?? When I first heard about him, I thought we should have just left him there and let the Afghans have there way with him.

Now that we have him, I guess he is actually being semi-helpful. But IMO that doesnt excuse a damn thing. As far as I am concerned, he could have been the one that killed that CIA officer at the prison. I think this jackoff should lose his citizenship and be left to fend for himself in Afghanistan. But unfortunately, I dont set up the policies for the govt.

Well when he gets tried for treason maybe they will fry him.

Did anyone else see the interviews various shows have done with his parents? "Oh, he's just misunderstood, I'm so proud of him for standing up for his beliefs, he got sucked in and didn't know what he was doing, blah blah blah..."

Argh. Makes me see red.

He's 20 and he has just been through a very sobering experience.

He believed what he believed (there have been studies on how eager adolescents are to throw away their lives if they believe in their causes) and is just seeing some of the objective reality.

That prison massacre was pretty grim. The details are sketchy but it is clear that some of the prisoners had weapons but that many of them were on bound with their hands behind their backs when they were shot.

After seeing all that and realizing there are serious consequences, you could probably slap him around and send him home and he would run to the establishment to become a Yuppie.

Alternately we could just put him against the Wall and shoot him. I am kind of indifferent to his fate. But I do forsee a media circus, He has EXAMPLE written all over him. And we know what happens with those.

He's a 20 yr old American who was fighting for the Taliban. He was caught during a prison riot with a machine gun after a CIA agent was killed. He believes the 9/11 attacks were justified and good, and he went to Afghanistan 7 months ago to join the Taliban after converting to Islam at 16 when reading Malcolm X's book.

You think those two broads the Tb had in jail were gonna get off? Hell no.

What happened in the last 50 years to make people no longer accountable for their actions? Hes misunderstood? WTHF? (What the Holy F...) No. He made a mistake and is gonna pay for it. If he had renounced his US Citizenship, (Which can be done at any US consulate, I am sure there are plenty between here and Afghanastan) then I'd have no problem with what he did, but as long as you are a citizen of this country you can bitch about it all you want, but you are simply not allowed to take up arms against it. We can be all liberal and $hit, fine, but there comes a point where we gotta at least have enough balls to actually ACT like a fuc..ng country. China kills people all the time just for speaking their mind, and they just were rewarded withthe 2008 olympics. I dont think we'd be condimed in the world community for handeling this seriously. Dont exicute him, just send him to prison for 50 years until some pansy ass president like carter was comes along and pardons him 6 years later because the countrys moved on to another national drama.


BTW, those Broads from Waco DESERVED to be in jail over there. They KNEW they were breaking Afghan law by teaching chrisitianity, and they did it anyway, there was evidence after all. PLUS, it is so like some of those fundamentalist FOOLS to believe, "God will protect us" (Said in that annoying east texas accent) get off SCOTT free, and get to appear on Larry King live and meet the president. Kinda makes me wish they had been dealt with before Sept 11 happened. BTW, THEY are the Americans everyone else makes fun of around the world. You know the kind who believe "Chilli's" is a nice place to eat. White trash that just wont burn.

Man, I thought I was the only person thinking EXACTLY what you just said! And they're talking about how they want to go back there now???? Why didn't they just stay there in the first place and save our Special Forces all the trouble of taking their lives in their hands to rescue them?
