UCF Junior Fall 12 Rush
 

I'm a junior at UCF. I finally decide to rush after getting my foot in the ground at college and having an acceptable GPA. I wanted to know any advice or tips for rush week. I'm very nervous and excited.:confused:

Please spend some time reading through posts here, you may find that many of your questions will be answered!

I've looked at the threads, I wanted recent 2011 tips just in case it's been changed over the years at UCF.

No, dear. Things have not changed. I suggest taking the advice already given. We can get really testy when asked the same questions over and over and over and over...

All young women rushing at UCF needs recs. Being a junior can put you at a disadvantage, so it is doubly important that you have recs. to ALL sororities at UCF.

Can I jus do recs at certain sororities or all of them?!

Really, if you can't figure this out, nobody is going to keep answering your questions.

What part of "all" do you not understand? All means all of them, each and every one. Nary a one left out. Get moving - time is short!

IF you are 100% certain that you would rather remain an independant and risk not being a member of ANY sorority than give all of the chapters a chance, sure. Go for it.

Take the risk that you could not possibly change your mind after meeting all of the girls, if you choose. :rolleyes:

If you do this, however, please understand that you better not come back here whining to us when you get dropped by the chapters that you incorrectly assumed you would get a bid from. If you get cut out of rush, we will have NOTHING nice or sympathetic to say.

Just in case this hasn't penetrated...a rec to a sorority does not mean you have to join that sorority.

There are tons of women rushing at UCF. Many of them will be younger than you, prettier than you, have more activities than you, have a better GPA than you, and have rec letters FOR ALL THE SORORITIES. You cannot control the first four things but you CAN control the fifth. GET RECS FOR ALL THE SORORITIES. YESTERDAY.
