Here is one I just don't understand. In the what were they thinking category.

Oh dear.

Offensive AND ugly! What a combination! What was the designer's second choice?

You know when that little voice in your head goes "wonder if this is a good idea?" Then you know it is not. This is in the category of "what were they thinking".

That's hot.

I don't even get it. Is there supposed to be some kind of benefit to wearing these shackles? Usually weird-looking shoes have a purpose.. Good for the back, help grip rocky terrain when hiking, provide more comfort when walking for long periods of time, etc.

What's the reason for this ridiculous design.. Besides the creator wanting to cause a stir?

Ugly? Sure.

Offensive? Not even.

Is there some kind of benefit to the ultra-tall high heels now in fashion?
Fashion doesn't have to be gotten. It just needs some blind followers!:p

Considering the price tag, the sneakers are more ironic than offensive.

... my first thought was "props for a Dave Chappelle skit."

LOL. Now that you mention it, it does seem fitting.

someone also wondered whether it is a coincidence that these pics came out so close to Juneteenth...
