I loved Farenheit 451 but my first reaction to this was..."He was still alive?"

Me too. I thought he died years ago.

The library had a display of his books today. I did not know he died until I read this. I loved Fahrenheit 451, now I have to read others, especially The Martian Chronicles.

His short stories were amazing. When I was teaching high school, I would introduce classes to science fiction with one of Bradbury's short stories--"All Summer in a Day" was always a favorite. I would tell them, "If you like that, there are plenty more where that came from!" Many of my students came to appreciate that particular genre of literature thanks to Bradbury.

When I first saw the article, I had the same reaction.

I also thought he passed away years ago.

Bradbury and Asimov made me into a Sci Fi geek

I have taught that story and "Dark They Were, and Golden Eyed". My students always liked the latter due to the idea of immigration and assimilation.

My 8th Grade teacher taught us the short story "Rocket Man". One of my favorite stories.
