The Dating Game
On my Campus, certain sororities hold a large scale annual philanthropy event. However, no fraternities on my campus hold any kind of well put together event, they usually end up poorly planned and although fun, not very legit. I am currently planning a version of "The Dating Game", which will follow the rules of the T.V. show. The goals of this are to give my chapter a huge boost of campus awareness, and obviously to raise as much money as possible for our philanthropy
I was curious is anyone had any ideas which will boost profits other than charging five dollars at the door. We have never been big on advertising so maybe someone knew effective methods for that. Any advice that may add the the quality of the event would be appreciated. Thanks |
Are you soliciting local businesses for items to use as prizes? You could use these as prizes for the participants and as door prizes. If you offer door prizes, be sure to advertise that fact.
See if you can place an ad in the school newspaper, and if the school has a radio station or info. channel on campus tvs, see if you can advertise on there (for free). Put up some easy to read posters in prominent places around campus. you might offer some sort of reward to the largest group that attends your event. that might get a bit of competition going between the groups while increasing the money that you will earn for your phil. |
thanks. I never thought of doing a competition for biggest group in attendance thats awesome.
