I still remember your smile
I thought I have forgotten your face.
I have no recollection of your voice. Only a vague image. But I still remember you after all these years, and longing to see you again. And yes we did. I was early, standing there waiting for you, worrying that you might have passed by without recognising me. Far away, I saw you coming, you had a smile on your face. It wasn't 'familiar', but sweet and warm. I cannot stop from smiling back, and for a moment, there were mutual understanding between the two of us. Yes, we still remember. We then headed off without saying anything, and I thought you must be the one. What had happened after that? Did I say anything offending or you finally lost interest? I see your face every place that I am walking. I hear your voice every time that I am talking. I miss you. |
that was excellent! Are you a writer? Or just something you do in your spare time like many others?

That style reminds me of Rod Mc Kuen. I mentioned him in another thread. You should check him out, especially "Listen to the Warm", You may have a "soulmate" in the industry!
