Delta Delta Delta Atlanta Alumnae Raise $70,000 for CURE
 

Tri Delta Atlanta area alumnae held their 29th Care Affair on April 21 at the Atlanta Athletic Club. Slightly over $70,000 was raised for CURE Childhood Cancer and $8,000 for the Delta Delta Delta Foundation. The theme for the annual event was "An Evening Under the Stars".

Stars decorated centerpieces, auction tables and the club's ballroom. Dinner, music, celebrity guests, live and silent auctions were highlights of the event. Special auction items were brightly decorated birdhouses made by children stricken with cancer.

Since the event began the alumnae have raised over $1.5 million for CURE.

Chairmen of the event were Stephanie Griffin, Cornell and Susan Johnson, Clemson.

Very impressive, ladies.

Final Tally...
 

All expense sheets are in and the ending tally was even more than expected for the Care Affair. The final amount for CURE Childhood Cancer was $73,800 and $8,200 for the Delta Delta Delta Foundation.

Compliments to the committee who put in eleven months of effort to make this event a success.
