can i get in a greek fraternity even though im asian??

i like to consider my self a pretty outgoing guy. I'm pretty smart, well mannered, and pretty like-able. I can party pretty hard.
Next year i am going to be attending UT Austin, and i wanted to join a greek fraternity. However, I am asian. I was wondering if that would hurt my chances of getting into a top tier fraternity.
also, what is the recruitment like?
and do you guys have any suggestions?
thank you

"I can party pretty hard." ...Well that's nice...
" I am asian. I was wondering if that would hurt my chances" Membership selection is private. There is no way we could know.
"top tier fraternity." Don't think this way. It's idiotic.
"what is the recruitment like?" Read threads already posted. There is a search option for this site.
"do you guys have any suggestions?" Read threads on this site. Post using proper English.

In all fairness, except for capitalization and a misplaced hyphen, it was written a lot better than many posts I've seen here, as far as "writing in English" is concerned.

True, it is much better than other posts. I'm trying to "nip it in the bud" if you will.

There is also a misused "and".

Maybe not recruitment. but there are a lot of sticklers on this site.

Check out the forums. There are a lot of posts similar to yours. I'm sure you will find something.

To be honest, the more a person thinks their race will be an issue, the more it will actually be an issue.

I'm pretty sure that this is the same troll that's 22 and wanting to go through SEC rush and NOT rush West Coast or Black Frats.

Grammar is an important part of all communication. Period.

At these kinds of schools top tier fraternities are all about prior relationships and legacies. If you don't already know these guys to ask them questions and aren't getting invites to their summer rushes then you probably won't be anywhere near their bid list and it won't have anything to do with being Asian. They are out of the reach of most people.
