Recruitment Questions...

Thanks!

Obviously we can't say for sure whether you'll get a bid or not, but it is definitely worth trying. If you don't try, you'll wonder "what if."

I will say that you should get recommendations, if your school is one of the more competitive Texas schools.

True true! I just didn't want to be someone who says "I'm going to get a bid!" because there's always a chance I might not get any.

And okay, I'll look into it. When I went through fall rush no one even mentioned re ommendations. I didn't know we even needed them until I came on GC.

In case you're not sure if you need them: if your school is mentioned in this thread, you should get them:

Even at the most lily-white schools, not ALL of the members are blonde, or necessarily even white. I wouldn't let that worry you too much. All you can do is be the best you possible, fill out a good, thorough application and make sure you have your recs in order, if required at your school. Don't be fake. Don't bleach your hair in a sadly misguided attempt to fit in. If you go in fully prepared, behave in a way that is flattering and welcoming, and they don't want you? Then you're better off without them. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I looked and it wasnt listed. My school isn't that big as UT and Texas A&M.

Bleach my hair part made me laugh. I def could not pull of blonde! LOL and thank you for your advice. The first time, I looked around and most of the PNMs were freaking out about their hair, looks, clothes etc. It was scary and made me self conscious because everyone else was! It made me think sororities were all about an "image" when they're not. Well, besides being a classy lady, right?

I'm a little confused.

In both the threads you've started, you say you're rushing in Spring 2012.

Do you mean FALL 2012?
