You made big hair bigger in the 70's and 80's! :(

Everytime I think of Vidal Sassoon (which isn't often!), I think of this old SNL Commercial:

I thought it was the opposite -- his wash-and-wear cuts freed women from endless teasing and hairspray.

If we didn't look good, he didn't look good.

Ha...that's probably right. Maybe it was just ME using his hair products to make my hair bigger...

I thought he was already dead :confused:

Did you know his biggest accomplishment? He invented the hand-held blow dryer. There are still parts of the world where women go to get their hair set weekly, but in the US, it went by the wayside as soon as a vastly cheaper and faster alternative came to the fore. And I think that's why the flippy short hair style is what most of us think of as a Vidal Sassoon hair cut - it's what you could suddenly do with a blow dryer that you could never do sitting under one of those godawful contraptions.
