Sorority Recruitment

sorry

Read the stickies in the recruitment thread.

Your spelling makes me think you are a troll. Seriously, "somphore" and "sompmore"? The word you are looking for is "sophomore".

None of the soroties dropped me adn they told me i had a great recruiemtn personality. so here are my questions.. are sothern sororities looking for something different than are those that are more northern? what are reccomendations? (delaware didnt do those) and would i be abe to get recommendations from friends i have in now for sororites at my school. Also, by rushing as a somphore, do i have no hope of getting into the top ones? :/ i am very exciting to be invovled in greekk life but am concerrned i will not be able to get into the top as i am sompmore

You've already given away enough information about yourself that would make it fairly easy for anyone at the three southern schools you mentioned to identify you during recruitment. There are many advisors and active alumnae on GreekChat.

Plan on recruitment at your future school to be MUCH more competitive than at your current school. Read through the forums on SEC recruitment, letters of recommendation and going through recruitment as a sophomore.

And finally - your spelling and grammar are terrible. The men and women on GreekChat expect that you present yourself in a professional manner when asking for advice about joining our organizations. Please consider editing your original post to reflect your education and maturity, and to omit identifying information.

Good luck.

Thank you for letting me know, I'm happy you told me that.

I will delete the QFP when you resubmit.

I resubmitted a better version under sorority recruitment being sure to actually make my questions legible and not over share. Thank you!

And, thank you for handling a GC'ers advice maturely. It was refreshing to see a response like this, instead of the usual "Why are you getting on my grammar???? Why are you being so mean???? I asked a simple question!!! Don't reply unless you are being nice!!! You are just being a bitchy sorority girl!!!!"

Again, thank you and cudos.

Given this, I'm not sure I'd delete just yet.

i'm sorry that I've offended people. I'm just learning proper GC etiquette! I'd really appreciate if you deleted the quote of the bad post!

It's not that you're offending people. It's just that within a very short space of time, you've posted a number of posts that could be construed as inconsistent in terms of saying where you might transfer -- one post mentioned three schools (Clemson, Elon or Georgia but "most likely Clemson"), another mentions just two of them (Georgia and Clemson), while yet another mentions just one totally different school (Bama). That, coupled with things like questions about "top sororities" and the like can send up some red flags that you're trolling, not asking serious questions.

Please note: I'm not saying you are a troll; I'm just explaining why some might be a little suspicious.
