Candle Passing

I posted this in the Sigma Alpha Iota forum, but I am also curious about Beta.

Do we have a candle passing song or ceremony for engaged sisters?

When announcing an engagement, pregnancy, or up-coming adoption, a Beta Sigma Phi passes a box of chocolates at the meeting. I got to pass the chocolates for my first pregnancy.

Beta used to do candle passes, though there is little to no information available on it now. It gets a brief mention in the reading for the second pledge meeting, but that's it. Chocolate is sweeter anyway :p

Our chapter tradition for announcing a pregnancy is passing around a box of junior mints.

I dont think we have one for engagement...at least someone got engaged at Christmas and she just announced it during share time. There wasnt a "guess who" type thing.
