This year's presidential race is already one of the most ugly and nasty in recent history. But a photo of a racist anti-Obama bumper sticker that has gone viral across social media, ranks as one of the lowest of many low moments. The sticker reads "Don't Re-Nig in 2012" in large white script, with "Stop Repeat Offenders. Don't reelect Obama!" in smaller script below. The sticker originated from a site called Stumpy's Stickers, which has since shut down and which also sold several other racist and anti-Obama-themed stickers, including one with hooded Ku Klux Klan figures bearing the phrase "The Original Boyz N The Hood."

The dudes from Stumpys (and anyone who purchased from there) need to be punched in the crotch.

The end.

Google "don't re-nig" to see some interesting images.

For those who don't get it, whether you agree or disagree, "re-nig" is spelled renege. Although it is not uncommon for that to be misspelled, there are few coincidences in life. Since renege means "go back on a promise, undertaking, or contract," those who do not want Obama reelected would want reneging. Unless they are talking to the people who promised to make sure Obama was not reelected. Right?

Fail.

No thanks, I'll pass.

I don't particularly love Obama's politics, but I hate racist assholes.

I saw this, and just like the cookies sold in Greenwich village mocking Obama right after his inauguration, it just reveals what we already knew, racism is not dead in America. Shocker! If I ever see one in real life, then I'll be a little more sad...then again, I live in Arizona so maybe not.

My husband was just talking about this earlier this week. I asked him what he'd do if he saw a car with that sticker on it. None of his answers involved pleasant discourse. No word sets him off quite like the one being alluded to here.

Who would think this is a good idea? Aren't racists typically more subtle? Is this only being purchased in white neighborhoods?

Only the "classier" ones. ;)

But seriously, this is disgusting.

Oh, I guess you didn't see the news article about the Lafayette Bakery on Greenwich avenue in NYC making "N- word" Obama cookies featuring a black face with a fro made out of icing and big red lips. I actually saw them. There were people boycotting the bakery (which happens to be a few doors down from a friend of mines apartment building.) The bakery owner's son was making them. He let local news channels interview him and made no bones about his racist views.

Here's a link with a photo: The appearance wasn't exactly as I remembered, but was much less artistic. http://blogs.villagevoice.com/forkin...en_negro_f.php

^^Holy shit. Be a racist dick all you want, it's your American right, but what a ridiculous business decision.

AOII Angel 03-18-2012 11:34 PM

I know, seriously.

This is one of the most offensive things I have read in quite some time.
