AOII On your campus :)
Since we are on the subject, and everyone is asking about their GLO...I thought I would get mine in there.. What are the AOPi's like on your campus?? :)

They're sort of mixed here, from those I've met...a couple of girls on my hall freshman year went AOTT and they're great (they're juniors now), but a lot of sophomore AOTTs live in my dorm this year and let's just say they're less than endearing. It's sort of a random mix. I'm not quite sure what to think. :)

AOPi used to be a really strong house, I remembered during rush, I love them! Recently, they haven't been doing too well. The only got 13 girls from formal rush, where we all got 33+ girls, it was a sad day for all of us to hear that. I think they are nice girls, but just need to be more social and active around.

The AOPis at my school are known to be some of the nicest, sweetest girls, with a lot of spirit . They may not meet quota during rush, but they have a really strong sisterhood, and great participation in every activity. 2 ladies from my rho chi group (back in the day) went AOPi, and they are the biggest sweethearts!

So, of course a little biased, but any of you that know me, know how much greek unity means to me, so I guess its okay! I LOVE the AOTT's at Elon. We are a strong chapter, with 105 members now and will take more(Hopefully quota--we always do!) at formal rush in the spring. I think we are generally known as the nice girls, and the ones that are active in a lot of different things. We have a tradition of winning homecoming queen(12 of the last 13 years we have been on campus) and have a very diverse sisterhood.
I also love the AOTT chapter I advise for at Georgia State. They are a great bunch of girs, again always making quota and really nice and well balanced. I think one of the nicest feelings I ever had was when I helped with rush at Georgia State and during the whole process realized that if I had gone to Georgia State, I would have felt right at home at AOTT there too. It was a nice affirmation that sisterhood does not have boundaries! |
I had never even heard of AOTT until Greekchat.

Like AOTTLala said, the AOTT's at Elon are one of the strongest chapters on campus. I love them to death!!! Thats probably the house i would be in, if i weren't an AZD.

It seems the AOPi's here at UNL are mainly from the rural towns--not that many from either Omaha, Lincoln or Kearney (which I consider Kearney still somewhat small townish being from Kansas City). So a lot of farm girls, and somewhat homely. The one I actually know is a very silly girl--giggly, and the like. My pledge dad seems to be on his way to dating one I think so they must be nice. I dont' really know that much more about them except that when we went to take their composite they said we had to make an appointment. Seems like that kinda defeats the whole purpose but whatever.
|
Anyone who looks at a composite picture can tell you that the AOII's at my school are blond and beautiful. I have heard them stereotyped as "the party girls." They are a very spirited group of women and they participate in everything. The chapter here is extremely visible in the Greek Community as well as on campus itself, and they always meet quota at rush. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

AOPi was a good house at ECU, they always pulled their girls during recruitment not to mention they have one of the prettiest and largest houses at ECU!

We don't have AOTT on my campus, but a GREAT woman I worked with the summer after my senior year in h.s. is an AOTT alumna from Elon. She was sweet, down-to-earth, and had an amazing sense of humor. She is a great example of what a 'sorority girl' should be! I just adored her, and so my opinion of her sorority is very high! AOTT is awesome!
|
The AOPi girls I have come in contact with are nice. I don't know many of them though. Chapter wise they have problems with meeting quota I believe like 2 months ago they had like an open recruitment like every week for like 2-3 weeks straight. Other than that I really don't know.

AOII
I think AOII's on my campus are pretty good. I know a couple of them and they seem really sweet. I know they recolonized a couple of years ago here and they made quota last year, which was they're first year doing rush here. I've heard good things. And they have a beautiful new house, which I can't wait to see the inside of!

The AOII's on our campus are a bunch of really cool cool girls! We don't do much stuff with them, but really should, but unfortunately I'm VP and not Social Chair!
