ITT We ask for fashion advice...
I have a wedding coming up at the end of April. For those in the Ohio area, it's at the Valentine Theater in Toledo. I bought a straight, tank style plum colored dress and I was wondering if fuchsia heels would match? I also have a fuchsia pashmina. Thanks!

That actually sounds lovely. I think gold goes well with plum, too.
I like when people mix colors that live in the same color family, though. Just don't over do it with the fuchsia. |
I was actually just thinking of asking GC for some help in this area. I'm having a hard time finding a somewhat professional raincoat. I really would like a traditional mackintosh style coat, but I'm having a hard time finding one that isn't too boxy. I'm pretty slim, so it can be hard for me to find outwear that is on the fitted side. I'd be willing to get it tailored, but I would prefer not to. Any suggestions?

Gusteau, I bought a very nice trench from Brooks Bros last spring- perfect for over a suit. Expect a raincoat to be a little bigger and less fitted just for that reason, it's meant to be worn over your suit jacket. good luck!

I'd be willing to forget about more traditional styles like trenches and macs, but I'm having a hard time finding some that are professional, and don't have a thousand pockets. Brooks Bros is a natural choice, but I've found that even their slim fit is very baggy on me. My old standby, J. Crew, has failed me so far too.... |

Non boxy raincoat: Burberry style trench coat. Please note: Many companies make this style raincoat. I am not suggesting that, unless budget permits, that Burberry is the only way to go.
Plum is a powerful (and lovely color) . You don't want competition with the rest of the outfit. Nude heels accomplish two things: Height and lengthening of the leg...always a good thing. I personally go with the single major color...known today as a "pop" of color. |

Nude pumps would be nice, I think. |

My nude shoes are open toe and I CANNOT WAIT to wear them again. |
