please help! transfer question
 

Hi everyone! I could really use some advice. I am newly initiated into a sorority at my current university. However, for multiple reasons, it seems like I may have to transfer this fall to a school that does not have a chapter for my sorority. What can I do? Is it possible to deactivate and join a different sorority in the fall or is that not allowed/really bad? I really am clueless so any advice would be so appreciated! Thanks.

If you were initiated into an NPC sorority, you cannot join another NPC sorority, ever. You could investigate local sororities, service GLOs, or professional GLOs, but joining a different NPC sorority is not an option.

Does nobody try an even cursory search?

LIFETIME COMMITMENT. This is what you signed up for. I'm sorry this part of your lifetime membership in your sorority is going to end, but that's the way it goes. Thankfully you have another 70 years or so to appreciate the other part of your membership.

Way off topic, but when I saw the user name "tennisgirl897", I read it as "Tennessee is girl 897" and though what an odd name. :o
