Alpha Gamma Delta Convention 2012

We don't have a thread for this? Resolved!

Convention information came out today. I'm totally loving the online format of convention registration, and the ability to see who all is attending.

Also loving the free afternoon in St. Louis. So thankful we've moved in the direction of being able to enjoy the city where convention is.

Who's going?

I'll be there :)

I'll be there, but you knew that already :)

I am suggesting the City Museum for part of our afternoon off. My daughter says it is incredible.

Alpha Gams from around here are trying to find descent prices for flights. Right now, SW seems to be the cheapest.

I can't make flight reservations until next month at the earliest - but it looks like it will be in the low $300 range. I can handle that.

I'm trying to decide if I should just drive or if I should fly - but it looks like (since I'm close anyway) an hour flight for about $125 versus a 5 hour drive might tip it in the direction of flying. :)

I'm going to have to fly due to the time factor but DTW to STL is usually very reasonable. Hey agzg, are we still roomies for this event?

agzg 03-03-2012 06:30 PM

Sure. :) I haven't registered yet (COME ON TAX RETURN!) but how do you request a roommate?

AGDLynn 03-03-2012 06:35 PM

One of the problems with driving is the Dailey hotel parking rate about $21 a day.

Wish I could be there...maybe next time.

GOOD POINT, it'd be more expensive to drive!

It will be in the instructions; I think that you have to send in the reservations about the same time but not sure.

AGDee 03-03-2012 09:33 PM

They don't book rooms for us anymore, we book them ourselves. I almost booked our room but they needed all kinds of info about you that I don't have :) I'll get back with you through Imail about it :)

ETA: Delta and SouthWest have about the same airfare for me- $210 to $227, but Southwest includes TWO free checked bags. That might be worth it, especially for Convention.

I'm hoping that the Epsilon Alphas will be able to have a meetup in St. Louis. We've enjoyed reconnecting via Facebook.

Benzgirl 03-14-2012 09:24 PM

I think I'm going too.

Like!

I've noticed airfares have dropped from about one month ago. We were first looking at $400+. United is around $290. Southwest has fares from $190-$250 depending on how many states you want to visit in one day.
