ANTM: British Invasion
 

I wasn't planning on watching this season, but it caught me flipping channels.

British invasion, really?

How on earth did a new cycle of ANTM get past me? :confused:

Someone usually posts them online a couple hours later so I'll see if I can watch tonight. It looks mildly interesting.

I caught it flipping channels too. Seems interesting. I think I like the aspect of a "culture clash".

Although, I did not like the critiques for the pictures last night. Some of the girls (both Brit and American) were criticized for not representing the person they were selected to portray. These girls are so young and were not alive when people like Paul McCartney were at the top, so how could they know how to "embody" them?

They (for the most part) picked such refined people - how the eff are you supposed to represent that while jumping on a G-D trampoline for Christ's sake? Not an excuse, however for Amy Winehouse (I called that one when I saw that girl in hair & makeup with that eyeliner) and Janet J don't have that excuse, though. They should have rocked it - and they didn't.

I'm not sure about her. It's interesting how much she prides herself on being able to be masculine when needed then her photo as a man was "too pretty and feminine" according to the judges.

I think this new angle is interesting but if a British girl wins AMERICA'S Next Top Model (especially since they have their own show), people are going to have a problem with it. I feel like the only way this could work is if they put up a good fight then an American still won.
