Question about Upperclassmen Quotas

Can anybody explain to me
-what exactly they are?
-approx how many spots are provided for each grade classification (sophomores > 10 spots required...ect.)

It depends on the school. Some schools do this to make more chances to join a sorority besides just in the freshman year. The most common model would be to have 1 quota for freshmen/sophomores based on equally dividing the number of women that attend pref night and a second quota for juniors based on equally dividing the number of junior women that attend pref night.

A few schools just say that you can take up to some number (let's say 5) juniors or seniors and that does not count toward quota.
