Heartbreaking Abuse Story

http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/...sconsin/print/

Almost reminds me of the story of Dave who wrote "A Child Called It".

What could possess someone to treat anyone, much less their child, like this?

ETA: I made an oops with the title....could a mod please fix it?

Heard it on the news (made the headlines even here)
This is truly sick.

I saw this online last night. Heartbreaking. Bless the man who stopped to help her, because who knows what else might have happened.

There were other children in the house & clearly were taught this poor girl had no value!

This just breaks my heart & sickens me.

This sort of thing is a lot more common than most of you would suspect. Some of the pro bono work I do involves representing kids in deprived proceedings where their parents have done something to get the children placed into the Department of Human Services system. One of the toughest dockets I do is the show-cause docket where after being taken into custody, the case worker, state's attorney and myself present an administrative Judge with the evidence which led to the placing of the children in the Department's custody. We get to go through every single case from the previous day. Some of the stuff is really heartbreaking.

That poor girl. :(

I hope the "family" that did this to her rots in prison and then rots in hell.
