Alabama Rushing
Hi everyone! I will be a freshman at the University of Alabama next fall. I plan on rushing. I was born and raised in a college town in the South. So naturally I'm aware of the whole sorority thing from growing up in a college town, and I understand that Alabama rushing is on a whole different level. If anyone could give me any advice about rushing at Alabama, I'd greatly appreciate it! :)

Look at the recruitment forum and search for Bama. Their are tons of threads from recruitment stories to just general advice about Bama. You just need to do your homework.

One of the girls I did a rec for last year (Fall 2011) went to BAMA. It was a HUGE recruitment -- about 1700 girls, so it is very competitive. That said, take AOII Angel's advice and read up on BAMA recruitment through the threads here. You will learn a lot about what to expect and how to prepare.
You will hear it over and over -- keep an open mind when you go into recruitment and be willing to consider every chapter. My rec girl did -- she had a good experience and is very happy with where she found her home. Good luck! |

Also, Alabama's Panhellenic has a multi-page subsite devoted to fall 2012 (YES!) recruitment. There are pages and pages on what to expect, recommendations, what (and what not) not to wear, etc., so if you haven't already done so, "git over there" and READ and HEED.
