What is a typical day/week like as a member of a sorority?
I know going Greek is a personal decision, but as I think about it, I'm just curious to know what Greek life is like in your experience. I still have months to decide, and any information you can share would be much appreciated! No one in my family has gone Greek before except for a few older cousins, and I come from a family where I am the oldest child with no sisters. If this helps, I will be a Freshman at the University of Washington, about 2,500 miles away from where I live now.

There is no such thing as a typical day or week. It depends on the school, chapter and even individual person. That being said, most if not all the posters on this site would suggest at least going through recruitment.

Ok, thank you! I guess what I mean is what kind of activities or such goes on, but I understand what you're saying. Thanks again!

Throughout the course of the year, you could participate in: Weekly meetings, new member events, formal, socials/mixers, philanthropies, homecoming, ritual ceremonies, Greek Week, convention, national staff visits, fundraisers, etc. To what extent each sorority/chapter participates in those events will vary. Every day/week is different. Some are busier than others. But keep in mind that it's not a small time commitment.. And you only get out of it what you put into it.

Thank you very much for that information!
