TKE House at Alma College (Michigan) fire

Officials say the house is a total loss. They also said they know the cause of the fire and it was not suspicious in any way, but are not releasing the cause yet.

Thank God no one was hurt and everyone in house got out safely.

A sister who is the chapter adviser for the Gamma Phi Beta chapter at Alma shared pictures on FB. Very scary. This is a good reason to sign on to support the Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act, so that donations to support Greek housing can be tax-deductible and we can ensure our young members of safe, up-to-code housing.

A few of my good friends are alums of this chapter. It is a terrible situation but to hear/see the outpouring of support they are receiving is heartwarming. I've included the link to a facebook group started to share information and to bring together anyone wishing to send care packages or donations for the brothers/chapter.

Greek housing at Alma is owned by the college.
