Outfits Spring Rush
 

I'm suppose to be helping with outfits for informal rush and I was wondering does any one have some ideas that are cute, in and not going to ruin budgets?

It depends on what you're doing (what kind of informal events you're having).

We're doing a movie with moc-cocktails one evening. That's the one I'm having trouble deciding on most. I guess I don't have a theme per say picked out yet.

I would say black pants (to avoid too-short or sitting on floor dress issues) and cute but covered-up going out-ish tops.

oops! just reread the OP. Probably not the right thread to ask what to wear to informals events as a pnm. Sorry!

You could do black dresses (most everyone already owns one).

If sitting in the floor is an issue the best bet would probably be black pants or dark wash jeans, paired with heels and a similar colored top. ex: dark wash skinny jeans, either black or nude heels, cream or off-white top. To make it more informal, you could even not specify the color, just make it no prints or something.

Also: Cardigans are super cheap at target, you might be able to use those as an option.

I know for informal recruitment we've done "wear a purple, black, or grey top and dark wash jeans and cute shoes/accessories that match". You could do the same but maybe brown, pink, and white for Gamma Phi.

If you wanted it to be less formal you could say just wear cute tops/blouses, dark wash jeans, and matching accessories. That might be too open ended though, so you could also specify no bootcut/jeans with holes, black or brown flats or heels (no 'going out' heels, etc). Be as specific as you'd want to be/need to be. Also there is a thread here with pictures to give you ideas.
