Dawson' Creek Question

Ok, so I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I follow Dawson's Creek. :o But I missed it this week, and I saw a preview that hinted at Dawson & Jen having sex.

So, I know there are other Dawson's Creek fans on this board.. can anyone fill me in on what happened?

Uch...yep, they did! Dawson took Jen to a film competition in another city, which he ended up winning, and then later on they slept together. Earlier in the show, Jen had found out that her ex Charlie was trying to win back the girl he'd dated at the same time as her, and she was really upset that he picked one of them over the other. I think that's why she hooked up with Dawson...they've decided to see how their relationship progresses from there. Pacey also slept with his coworker from the restaurant (Lisa?) who was having an affair with their boss. Joey and her roommate Audrey went to a Holiday Cocktail Party with Sigma Ep, and Jack set up one of his brothers with Audrey because she was "hot and easy". Well, Joey overheard him saying this and was far from pleased. In the end, Jack apologized and Joey said she'd learn to accept his fraternity. I think that's about it! :)

I Love Dawson!

I am so happy I am not the only college-aged Dawson fan! Heh heh! Well, to sum it up...
Joey went with Jack to his fraternity formal, and the rule given to all the guys was that there goal was to get laid. Go figure, a TV show making Greeks look bad! Anyway, one of Jack's brothers didn't have a date, so Jack said that he had the perfect girl for him, and she was easy...Joey's roommate. Yaddahyaddah, Joey overhears Jack telling the guy that at the formal, she gets mad, Jack feels bad, apologizes, and that part of the show is done.

Pacey and that girl from his work (I forget her name right now) sleep together and they both try to quit their job. I didn't really focus on that part much because....Dawson and Jen do sleep together!!!

It starts with Jen finding out that, with the whole Charlie/her/other girl thing, she was the "fling" and the other girl was the "girlfriend." She gets depressed and Dawson consoles her. Then Dawson finds out that he won this film award and so he takes Jen with him, which shocks Joey when she finds out. Anyway, they pretend they are a couple, get this bitchin' hotel suite, and go to the awards thing. After that, they go back to the hotel and start talking, and eventaully start talking about why they never made it as a couple. Then out of the blue Jen kisses Dawson, and then, well... bowchicawowwow! The next day, Jen feels all akward b/c they've become so close, she doesn't want any of that to change. Dawson assurres her that nothing is going to change and the show ends with them holding hands. I think we may have a new couple in the works!!!
Hope that helped!

It might be a little embarassing for us all to admit, but hey, that show gets addicting! Just a little fun fact--one of the Kappa Sig's at my school plays the part of Blossom on the show!

BrownEyedGirl 12-01-2001 03:42 PM

Who's Blossom? I must've missed him...

And, while we're on the subject of Wednesday night WB addictions, is anyone else hooked on Felicity? I totally am...I'm a sad excuse for a college student, I know, but I'm hooked on the both of them!

SilverTurtle 12-01-2001 04:16 PM

Thanks!

Thanks for the info everyone! I can't believe I missed that episode! I actually went a whole year without watching that show when I worked 2cnd shift, so I'm not as addicted as I used to be. But I try to catch important stuff when it happens.

Thanks for the recap guys! I was so pissed when at about 6:00 on weds night i realized that I forgot to set my vcr, and was too far from home to come and set it.. :(
Can anyone give a recap from this week's felicity?

BrownEyedGirl 12-01-2001 09:47 PM

I can cover that one, too! Megan and Sean decide that Thanksgiving dinner should be at Felicity's, but Ben doesn't really want to go because (obviously) he's pretty upset with her for cheating on him with Noel. Noel, meanwhile, decides to spend time with his brother, who has come into town for the holiday. Elena invites Trevor to come, and they have a little minor romance brewing.

Ben ends up inviting his dad's AA friend Lauren to come to dinner at Felicity's, as a way to get Felicity back for hurting him. Long story short, it gets ugly at dinner, and Ben says that he wasted a year and a half of his life with Felicity. Felicity leaves, and then Megan yells at Ben about bringing Lauren - a whole nasty situation. Later, Ben comes back, he and Felicity make up and sleep together. The next day, though, Ben tells her it was a mistake and that he can't forgive her for what she did. He's not ready to get back together - heart break!!

Through all of this, Elena manages to chase off Trevor by asking him a thousand questions to determine if he's smart or not. And Noel ditches his brother, picks up a girl at a bar, and wakes up handcuffed to the bed in a hotel room, and robbed blind. He calls his brother, and in the end the two realize that Noel may be depressed and need help. Noel calls a counseling center for an appointment.

I think that about covers it - it was a really good one. I had to tape it, because my week was crazy, but it definitely was worth watching! ;)

AlphaChiGirl 12-01-2001 11:48 PM

Because I don't get TV, I don't watch Dawson and Felicity anymore. I did, at one time, watch them religiously.

I knew that Dawson would "lose it" this season...didn't he make reference to being "the last virgin" on the season finale? If only he and Joey jad been eachother's first...:::sigh::: Why Jen? Huh?

Felicity has gotten WAAAAAAAAY too overdramatic for me. Why does Felicity have an issue with cheating? Remember when she cheated on Noel with Simon Rex (shades of season 1!)?

hey brwneyedgirl,
Blossom isn't in every episode. But when he's on the show he's a member of Jack's fraternity, Sigma Ep. He's the one that they told the pledges that if they guess the name of, then they get some kind of reward or honor. Little do they know it's something as unusual as Blossom!:D I just thought it was pretty cool that the guy who plays him is a Kappa Sig at my school..near DC.

BrownEyedGirl 12-02-2001 09:38 PM

Okay, that rings a bell! :)

G8Ralphaxi 12-03-2001 05:05 AM

hey did this bother anyone else about this week's Dawson?

OK, so the fraternity has apparently accepted Jack as gay. Heck, they recruited him knowing it. But have they really accepted what that means?

They have a formal - i.e. a date party. But it's just assumed that Jack is supposed to bring a GIRL. If it's a date party, shouldn't you get to bring someone you are dating/are thinking about dating/want to date? They even say something like "Everyone gets laid tonight - oops, except you Jack! hahaha!" Like since he's gay he must therefore stay celibate in order to fit in?

I know Jack and Toby broke up, but why couldn't Jack bring another guy? Oh wait - he's been hanging out with his "neanderthal macho frat brothers" so of course he couldn't possibly have the opportunity to meet any nice sensitive gay guys, right?

Looks like they are playing into the stereotype that gay guys attract girls. Look how they begged him to bring "some of those hot Worthington girls you hang out with." If the fraternity's goal really is "everyone gets laid" then Jack is an asset. Not only will Jack set a brother up with a date, but he'll also bring along a date himself that he won't hook up with, so if another brother's date isn't any fun, then there's a "spare girl."

Give me a break!
