Happy Founders Day

I wanted to say Happy Founders Day to all the Kappa Alpha Theta's in the world.

Congratulations on 142 years!

Thank you! I am sporting my newest badge today- a Dyer with pearls around and diamonds on the points. Pics for the BT thread coming soon.

As I mentioned to AzTheta this morning, I am just in awe that what these young women created in 1870 has evolved into an international sisterhood today. Unbelievable vision.

I can't WAIT to see your photos, Blondie93... bet it is a beauty.

Elizabeth McReynolds Locke Hamilton continues to be an inspiration to me. I think this photo captures her essence. And, I want to thank the men of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) for denying Bettie admittance into their fraternity. We wouldn't be here if they hadn't said "no" when she requested to become an initiated member in order to wear the badge they offered her along with a position as their mascot. She wasn't having any of that.

I am SO jealous of that badge, without even seeing it!:D

Happy Founder's Day, ladies! I am attending my first Founder's Day event in many years tomorrow. Really looking forward to reconnecting! The determination and courage of our founders still inspires me today.
