^^ So true. And this PNM's mom is probably one of those sorority members who hasn't done a thing with or for her org since she graduated. And she'll be the first one to pitch a fit if/when her DD doesn't get a bid, complete with letter-denouncing and everything. She'll also be sure that her presence will be missed, not realizing that it's hard to miss something that's invisible.
