Starbucks and McDonalds by cell...

I was wondering if anyone else heard about this, or if it's just in my area. You can now call McDonalds on your cell, and pick up your foor in your car outside, all ready and done, without a drive thru. Starbucks is also doing it. I guess you start with an online account and it just deducts from that. Just wondering if it's a local northwest thing...

...and as the days pass, americans become more and more lazy

Wouldn't the food be hotter if you went through the drive-thru?

No kidding, calling from a cell phone on the way to the place. Cell phones while driving, americans are getting more and more lazier.

My brother-in-law has a program for his Palm VII that will find the Starbucks nearest to your location. It's pretty cool - it works by triangulating your location based on the nearest cell towers.

Well, that Palm device that finds the nearest Starbucks is awesome and I wish I had one! As a Starbucks addict, I understand the importance of knowing where to get my next fix. :)

I agree with everyone else about the laziness thing, though. How hard is it to get off your butt and go inside to order coffee?! I mean, is it THAT DIFFICULT?! The ONLY time I could see it being a good idea is if you're, say, just coming from the gym or just woke up and look absolutely terrible and don't want anyone to see you. But even then it's just not worth it. That's what husbands are for, anyway -- "Honey, I can't go out like this. Would you run to Starbucks for me, sweetie?" ;)
