Top 3 Sororities and Frats in your Region

In many parts of the country, certain orgs are more prevalent than others. This is not to say that these groups are not as viable or AS important. But, from what you SEE, please list what orgs are more VISIBLE in your area. (If you are Greek or an interest, don't list your org, just because you want it posted. If you all aren't doing anything or are visibile, don't front...LOL);)

I've heard where in "THIS" part of the country ABC is more VISIBLE than DEF and so on and so forth.

For instance, down here, you DON'T really see Iotas (not to take anything away from the Iotas), but I'm sure in other places they are ALL OVER the place.

Anyone may respond.
:D

Please list if you are:
North
South
East
West
Midwest

Columbus, Ohio

This is what I've seen:

1) Delta Sigma Theta: These ladies @ OSU always have nice programs, ALWAYS!

2) Kappa Alpha Psi: They are starting a new non-profit, and they have some annual events (one that's co-sponsored w/ DST)

3) I'm not really sure... I would say NPHC, lol. But, seriously, we have a few NPHC sponsored events. I wouldn't be able to pick a third org.

CT4, what do you think?

South

Down here in the South(TN to be precise) it differs from what region of TN you are from. I am in East TN

Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc.

Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.

Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc.

Zeta Phi Beta, Inc.

I think there is a chapter of Iota Phi Theta, Inc. in middle TN.

In West TN

Zeta Phi Beta Simga Country

Sigma Gamma Rho

I guess I could say everyone is prevelant in TN, but your region makes a world of difference.

Well, she told us to be honest. Don't get the big head, lol. :p

Soror 2D, do you mean programs, or just visibility, period, like who reps the hardest, or who's plates do you see, or what? I was listing as far as visibility in the community (events).

Clearly, lol, I'm just trying to get my sorors on the list, lol. Now I'm feelin' all guilty, lol. :o

My Top Picks!

I am in the midwest region ( southern part of Kansas) and I would have to say:

1. Alpha Kappa Alpha

2. Kappa Alpha Psi

3. And that is it!

Although we have 8 of the 9 orgs on our campus (no Iotas) no one really does anything!

New Orleans (south).....Delta Sigma Theta/Omega Psi Phi
St. Louis (Mid-West) .....Alpha Kappa Alpha
Chicago/Bloomington (Mid-West)....Alpha Kappa Alpha/KAPsi
Nashville (South)....Er'body--its a college town (Fisk, Meharry, Vandy, TSU, Belmont and etc.)

Last but not least....Houston, TX -- Delta's and AKA's

In the Midwest Alpha Phi Alpha gets a lot of respect because they are always throwing something positive on campus and they are all members of student goverment or presidents of a campus organizations.

Kappa Alpha Psi is also real popular in terms of throwing events and parties (and to be honest for looking so good:rolleyes:)

As far as sororities, Delta Sigma Theta and Alpha Kappa Alpha do a lot in terms of community service and involvement. I guess the top three in the Midwest, mainly Chicago is Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta.
