Latest SK Triangle!

The Fall 2011 Triangle is here!

http://www.onlinedigeditions.com/publication/?i=90138

Did you know it has interactive links?

I don't recall that in past issues.

Check out this video of a Theta Lambda sister.

Warning: If you're feeling unproductive or old, don't watch. ;)

Two of the members of the chapter I advise have a nice large photo on page 9 : ).

I still don't know how I feel about the emerald pearl badge.... though, tis the season.... maybe that's why it reminds me a little of a christmas tree. I'm sure I'll get one anyway to feed my badge addiction.

excuse the lane swerve, but I thought the emerald and pearl badge, especially set in gold, was really pretty. Thanks for sharing your magazine! I always forget who's philanthropies are whose and it was nice to be reminded that you support Alzheimer's.

:D

I've been thinking about getting this badge. It's pricey but it's limited and won't come around again so I'm going to go for it though I plan on getting it in white gold.

I really liked reading your magazine!

What a contrast...reading about a member who was at MIT at age 14 and then the article about Pat Summit having Alzheimer. I had read an article about her yesterday and it mentioned that she was in a sorority but didn't say which one. (Chi Omega).

I also loved the mention about the European Alumnae Chapter. Cool idea!

I was wondering is she was there. I knew that was her chapter. What an honor!

Aw, thanks! :o

I'm kind of awkwardly posed. The photographer told us to all touch the trophy, and I couldn't reach from where I was standing. In retrospect, I should have knelt down like Rachel.

Great issue. One of the sisters from my chapter (EE - UGA) is profiled on page seven. She was president when I pledged. Love reading about what everyone is doing.

This is why I will be going for it too. I figured it would be a piece of history! Ditto on the white gold.

I was a little upset to read about the emerald badge. When I served as chapter president, I wore our chapter's emerald badge that was passed down president to president, that was worn to honor a former president that had passed away. From the chapter's website -

Quote:

The President's Pin is a special, emerald pointed pin that the president of the Beta Sigma chapter wears during her term. The pin is in honor of Michelle Ruth, a past president who was tragically killed in a car accident. The pin was donated by Michelle's parents. A larger version of the pin (which is lit at night) is featured in the front of the house, outside the president's window.
It was always a pretty special, unique thing, now I guess it won't be quite as special!

Your chapter's is not going to be any less special. Yours has points, these are alternating pearl and emerald. Besides that, I'm assuming yours is a fairly old? I love seeing the differences in the enameling and other subtle changes over times. Above all else, yours has a story, and meaning to you. Although there is going to be something similar available, that doesn't mean that most everyone will run out and get one, or that the story of yours will be any less meaningful.

Side note: Could you PLEASE take a picture of the badge and the light and night and post them? I'd love to see them!

Do any sisters out there know when the special badge will be available for order? I keep reading summer 2012, but that's not exactly specific.
