I read some article online and the first comment was something to the affect that everything's going to be pooping rainbows in North Korea now. I refrained from calling the person retarded, so you can be proud of me for that.

Some times I really wonder which is the bigger theocracy, Vatican City or the PRK. And then I decide, the PRK.

CNN just showed N. Koreans weeping uncontrollably over the loss of their dictator. Interesting mourning period.

Every nation has its own power dynamics whether dictatorship, democracy (in which those in power will remain in power regardless of who is officially in office), or other form of government. North America is often held as "the savior" for other nations, in an attempt to instill certain ideals on the world and scoff at the ideals of others.

Everything look so staged, though. No one looked truly sad. It looked more like 'cry or get sent to the thought police.' (shameless 1984 reference)

Also, the country was still editing photos. I stumbled upon one right after his death where they shopped out a camera crew and their footsteps because they weren't close enough to the rest of the crowd.

I agree. I was wondering why everyone was formulaically screaming and falling all over the place. Very "1984."
