Need Help..Confused on what to do???....
 

Ever since I was little, I wanted to be a Delta Sigma Theta. Once I got to college i started to see the different sororities. I became interested in knowing about the Zeta phi beta and went to a couple of the events. I even went to a interest meeting. But after the interest meeting, I realized that, that wasn't the sorority for me and that my heart still longed to be a Delta. My question is can I still go to Delta events and try to pledge delta, even though I went to a few Zeta events. Because i really want to become apart of the delta sisterhood. Please help because I am so confused thanks. :confused:

The effort it took for you to create this thread on Greekchat is the effort you could have used interacting with real people and figuring this out on your own. It is also the effort that you need to spend tightening up your writing skills, COLLEGE STUDENT.

The Internet and Text Message Generation really needs to get it together.

Long story short, you can go to different events hosted by different fraternities/sororities and still get a bid. But you should try to stick with just the one you want to pledge.

The only part that confused me is why you're asking this in the middle of December. Rush should be beginning of fall or around new years. I don't think anyone is still rushing around this time of the year.

She is talking about a NPHC organization. I understand you mean well, but you need to try not to give advice to people in different systems then yours.

The OP wants to be a Delta, and the one Delta who has posted in this thread thinks it matters. Make of that what you will.

Collegiate Delta aspirants sometimes send us emails, letters of interest, and chapter website comments in a similar fashion as the OP's post. They are then shocked when some of us respond in a certain way since their writing (including not capitalizing "Delta" and wanting to be "apart of") is our first impression of them.

NPHC aspirants need to see all interactions with Greeks (acquaintances, friends, family, classmates, etc.) as an opportunity to learn something even if it is not the exact answer to their questions. That includes Greekchat if NPHC aspirants insist on coming here to lurk or create threads.

I think if she wants to be apart of Delta, you can EASILY help her with that ;)

That is hands down the most annoying, over-used and so often incorrect word on this site. Here's a hint, don't use the A before part. It's not necessary, doesn't add to the understanding and only invites mistakes. You can be part of something or a part of something - same thing - but there is absolutely no reason for anyone to come here asking about how to not be in something.
