Ideas for how to decorate a big/lil sis picture frame?

Hi everyone! (: So, my big got me SO much stuff during big sis week, & for Christmas I want to give her a lot of really great presents in return! I know for sure that I'm making her a picture frame, I'm just not sure how to decorate it!

Does anyone have any ideas?!

& If someone has a picture or something of a frame their big/little made for them that they would be able to post it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks everyone!!

I remember reading a thread with some general craft ideas that might help out a bit.

Anyway, my "family line" adopted teal as our family color. If your chapter/family does something similar you could paint the frame that color or use it as an accent.

PAINT PENS, PAINT PENS, PAINT PENS!

Maybe use your sorority's open symbols? Someone in my chapter made a "Big Sis: _______, Little Sis: ________" mug at some point.

Several crafty blogs might also have some non-Greek projects that could give some inspiration.

Here are a couple of blogs with ideas for crafting:

Hope that helps!

Here are some picture frames I've decorated recently. Mod Podge, scrapbook paper, flowers, rhinestones...are your best friend. Check the dollar store too. Sometimes they have packages of wooden letters for a dollar. I picked up four packages last year and use them for everything.

Agree with AXEling - paint pens are key. Invest in a few colors and you're good to go.

What's typical in my chapter is:
Big's name, little's name, Chi Omega - chapter name, semester/year (like "Fall 2011"), and, occasionally, the crest.

I love the pictures posted - particularly the one above, maybe you could incorporate your own group's flower into it?

Also - I managed to find some cute pearls with adhesive on the backs. Those really jazzed up some of my plaques I made recently (I know - not a picture frame, but you get the idea)
