How many people here from Iowa State? What house are you in?

i think I've talked to you before - but I go to the University of Iowa (Go Hawks! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Boo Cyclones http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif) And I'm a Delta Zeta!!! I met a lot of the girls from the Iowa State DZ chapter when they came here to help us recolonize, theyre an awesome group of girls! What house are you in?

Hey there! I'm currently a senior this year and will be attending Iowa State this fall. I plan on rushing.....but I also plan on trying out for the cheer squad or dance team. Do you know of any girls who do both and what are their schedules like? I'm not saying I'll make it but I was just wondering. Also in your opinion what houses do you like? Is it very hard to get in many houses. My G.P.A isn't a 3.0 so I'm a little worried about that but other then that I'm a total people person so I'm not too worried about what they'll think of me....

Firedancer, nice to know that you're gonna be here (ISU Greek Community). We're the seventh best (and biggest) Greek Community in the nation.
I know couple girls that do both (house and cheersquad), but I don't have clue how their schedule look like.
In fact, one of our guys is in the ISU Cheersquad. We're going to have tryout on April 28-29 (I believe), and some of us will do it, too. I will try the mascot try out (He he he) :P Hope I can make it.
Oh, well, just let me know if you have any other questions. About which house is good, I think it depends on how it fits you. You should go through formal rush.

I don't know by numbers, however, the cheersquad guy in my house said that it is more competitive for girls than guys. Email me for details, I will ask him later.

Ill be a sophmore at ISU next fall. Hey queequek I had a class with a thumper last spring and we turned out to have alot in common. If the rest of the guys in your house are like him then you probably have a very strong chapter. Oh yea congrats on Greek Week 2003 as well.
