FSU Spring

Hi guys,
I've searched all over this site for information, but i'm not really finding the answers to some questions I'm curious about.
I'm at FSU, and loving it! And I'm looking to rush in the spring. I know it's informal and I've filled out my interest form and such on the greek life webpage. But has anyone been through it? I know its a meet and greet type set up, but what happens after? How long until I know if I get a bid or not? Will chapters invite me over to spend more time with them, or do they just go by what they saw at the meet and greet?
Also, I graduated high school with my AA degree, so I'm considered a junior, but since my major is intensive, and I'm getting multiple minors, I wont finishing my bachelors for another 3 and a half years, should I let the chapters know that, so they know that I am still technically a freshman?
Thanks in advance!

Is this fraternity or sorority recruitment?

Sorority, sorry for not being clear!

Is this the Winterfest Spring thing you're speaking of?

My understanding (just from here on GC and anyone is free to correct me if I'm wrong) about spring is that you go, meet the participating chapters, and they contact you individually if they're interested in inviting you to their individual events. There timeframe for "when they'll let you know" probably depends on the chapter. The GL office is probably your best source of info though.

Yes, thank you!
Any advice on what to say as far as how far I am in school?

KSUViolet06 11-08-2011 06:43 PM

If you're a junior by credits, I can tell you that they'll probably see that on your transcripts. i'm not sure what to tell you about how to phrase it, but my only advice here is don't lie (because they'll see it anyway.)

JJonasFSU 11-08-2011 06:46 PM

yeah, I think i'll just explain it to them kind of how I explained it on here if they ask me about school.

tell them the truth.

It's not really a truth or a lying thing, it's just a matter of should i bring it up or not, and how much should I tell them about it if I do so that they understand, it's true I have my AA degree, but it's also true I'm still in my freshman year and still have 3 years and a semester until I graduate.
