Alleged Embezzlement: ADPi House Corporation, U of Akron
 

An individual has pleaded guilty to embezzling about $100,000 from the house corporation of Alpha Delta Pi at the U of Akron. See:

The most surprising thing about this article is that she has already made restitution. What? She just had $100k lying around? If that's her financial situation, why did they make it sound like those ten years of embezzling were because of financial difficulties?

And, just to clarify, Ex-Lurker... If she plead guilty, the embezzlement is no longer alleged.

Her membership better be revoked. She doesn't deserve to wear our letters anymore or to be called my sister.

Once EO hears about this, I would imagine that her membership will be revoked. Our Alumnae Housing Corp Treasurer did that to our chapter and she is out! In fact, I only read the article to see if it was the same woman as a perp!

I will find out more about this later this week. We have a couple of Akron alums out here but none are ADPis, so I'm not sure if they know the details.

I hadn't heard anything about this until it was posted a few days ago (then again, I haven't heard much about anything lately with my crazy schedule). It's always hard to hear about something like this on any campus, let alone my alma mater.
