Epsilon Nu Colony at Univ. of Southern Miss.
 

Hey. What's going on everyone? I just thought that i'd give everyone an update on how the colony is going. This Sunday is our official kickoff and so everyone is really excited about that.

But, we've already been doing a lot of preemptive stuff, we've already raised our chartering fee, already have a sample bylaws we're working on, as well as a sample recruitment program. We are currently at 55 guys, so we should have our 60 within the next 2 weeks. Greek life here at USM is small and just with our 60 guys we'll be the 3rd largest fraternity on campus, with the largest currently being only 89 guys. We don't have our house at the moment, but we will be getting it back on June 1st and it will be a great recruiting tool (it's the largest house on campus and 1 of 3 houses with a pool).

It actually took me about 30 seconds for the penny to drop (but then I'm an old fart at age 42).

Obscure, Heartwarming and Obscene all at the same, Great combination!

I love the 2nd base t-shirts. Everyone loves a healthy booby and there's nothing wrong with a bit of sense of humor.

Pool at the fraternity house sounds both fun and disgusting to me now that I'm old, but it is definitely a recruiting advantage.

I...honestly have no idea. That was actually my question when I first saw it. However, I must say that the guys seem to like it.

So here's the update: We have finished everything on our checklist, except for having 60 guys. We're currently at 55 guys with a couple more signing this week, so early next semester we should be finished with our requirements and can get initiated. :D

Thanks for the update. Bet of luck with recruiting the few more members that are required to make the colony eligible for rechartering.
