Teen "It Gets Better" Contributor Commits Suicide at 14
Teen contributor to 'It Gets Better Project' takes his own life
Last May, Jamey Rodemeyer added his video to the It Gets Better Project, the Internet video site where adults share hope with LGBT teens, a minority likely to be bullied by even the adults in their lives and suffer a disproportionately high suicide rate. On Monday, the 14-year-old teen from Buffalo, N.Y., was found dead outside his home, having apparently taken his own life. http://digitallife.today.com/_news/2...life?GT1=43001 ************************* :( God bless. In line with the different motivations for suicide that some theorists and researchers acknowledge, I think he committed suicide to prove a point and get more people to listen. |
How tragic.

Teen’s parents: After suicide, he’s still being bullied
http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/446849...-being-bullied
Ann Curry does an interview with Jamey's parents, his sister was at the school homecoming dance and after a Lady Gaga song, bullies chanted stuff like "we're glad you're dead" & "you're better off dead" If this is true, wtf is wrong with these children to do that let alone with his sister there. Where are they learning this and why is it acceptable where there appear to be no consequences at a school sponsored function. |
