Goat cheese is about one of my favorite things in the world.

Roasted figs with goat cheese are especially yummy. So is a chicken, goat cheese and artichokes dish.

Claims filed in death of Wash. hiker gored by goat

PORT ANGELES, Wash. — The widow of a Port Angeles hiker who was fatally gored by a mountain goat in Washington's Olympic National Park has filed a wrongful death claim against the park.

Bob Boardman died last October after a mountain goat followed him and gored him on a popular park trail about 17 miles south of Port Angeles.

The Men Who Stare at Goats was... strange.

I loved The Men Who Stare at Goats. And Jon Ronson is a fabulous writer, telling the tales of crazy people (or are they?) in such a way that he leaves it completely up to you to decide if it's real. This particular story, he really was told. He never says the story actually happened, just that he really did hear the story from a guy who says it's first hand knowledge. Nutty? Probably, but would you really put it past the US military to try some of this stuff? And if you want to be further entertained, pick up THEM, a book he wrote about conspiracy theorists.

The movie that I had a video audition for was called "The Goats" - based on a YA novel. While I'm pretty sure I didn't get the part at this point, the guy who is directing it is the one who did "I Am Number Four", so if nothing else, I got my face in front of his.
