Charlotte Pylanf Endorf, 1948-2011

Sister Charlotte ended her fight with cancer on Friday, Sept 9. She was a member of Delta Gamma, An advisor to Beta Pi and Phi and colony supervisor to Eta Epsilon. She served Alpha Delta Pi as an international officer as a Province Director, District Director, Ritual Chairwoman, on the Gift Mart Committee, and much more. In 2009 she was honored as the District IV outstanding Alum.

*That would be Pylant*

My sincere sympathy to those who knew her, especially her family.

I really wish we had a memorial service of some sort - it sounds as if Charlotte would have wanted that.

She sounds like an accomplished lady.

Question: was she initiated at "Delta Gamma chapter", or was she a DG *AND* an ADPi? I don't think I'm reading it correctly.

I remember Charlotte well. She was instrumental in the founding of my chapter. I met her at DLC when she was running Gift Mart. She also filled in as my roommate's "mom" during Mom's Weekend one year -- my roommate's parents lived abroad.

A wonderful sister, may she rest in peace.

There is a ceremony at convention where all sisters that have passed away during that year are remembered. Opposite years they do it at Leadership Conference, if we still call it that.

The funeral was today and her husband and sons seem to be doing ok. She had known for awhile that her cancer would be fatal. The priest spoke well about her preparedness. She was my advisor, my mentor, my fellow house board member and at least once convention roommate.

I was an ADPi because of her, and I serve ADPi because of her.

Council is working on a memorial service ceremony that could be used at funerals/memorials for sisters- more to come...

I think that would be lovely! When one of our chapter sisters died, she had planned her own funeral. She held a nosegay of violets in her hands. Since then, I've thought that it would be so cathartic to have some sort of service.
