So young, so much promise... My sympathy to her family, friends, and soon-to-be sisters.

OMG :(

The article said she had attended an off campus fraternity party the night before. I really hope she didn't die of alcohol poisoning. It is just so preventable.

Sympathies to the campus, family, friends and sisters.

I hate to speculate, but it does seem like the most likely scenario. It is just so sad when things like this happen. Many freshman enter college with hardly any experience with alcohol and don't know their limits.

From what I've heard she went home completely sober from the party. She is an absolutely gorgeous girl and our campus has lost a woman who would have done amazing things in her sorority and on campus. We are all at a loss for words.

Keeping the Beta Lambda chapter of Delta Delta Delta in my thoughts.

My biological sister is in this chapter of Tri-Delta, and she said today has been awful. She said the media has already swarmed their house and rumors are already being spread that aren't true. So please be careful about what you believe/ spread around, because my sister also believes she wasn't drinking, and that the symptoms she gave off don't relate to ones of alcohol poisoning.

My thoughts go out to all her family and friends. I can't imagine how I would cope if this happened to one of my sisters. I know my sister said it has been quite the sad day in the Tri- Delta house.

SweetCarolineXO if you talk to your sister anytime soon let her know that if she or her sisters need anything at all we are all here for them, I don't any members of the chapter personally but seriously if they need anything at all just let us/me know

I will, thanks. Right now they are in a meeting (and have been for a while), but I will pass on the message. I'm sure they will all need help in the upcoming weeks.

I'm not saying Tri-Delta should do this, but it was my first thought......

The Alpha Rho chapter of Phi Sigma Pi lost a new member during the VT shooting just weeks before initiation. The chapter voted (& it was approved by NH) to have her big go through the initiation ritual in her place. She was posthumously initiated and buried in a set of letters.

That is the sweetest thing I've ever heard in such circumstances!
