i'm so excited. recruitment week for my school starts in one week and i was wondering, they said that we are not allowed to take bags or watches. i understand why we can't take watches but why not bags? and is it possible that my rho gamma can hold it while i go in the rooms?

If your Rho Gamma had to hold everyone's bag she would need many many hands. :) It's so they don't have the liability of watching a whole lot of (sometimes expensive, sometimes honking big) purses. You will all get little baggies to put lipstick, compact, breath mints etc in.

At my school the rho gammas wait out front of the houses while their group is inside. The RG's would ask girls to leave their bags at the front door with them. Personally, I never brought a bag, my Rho Gamma had an emergency kit with things I would need like breath mints, clear nail polish, tissues, safety pins, everything :)

This really is a question for your Rho Gamma, she'll let you know how it will work for you!

WHy not bags?
It would be easy to take things from the chapter that, while you think they are trivial, would subject the chapter for recruitment infractions. You can't leave with even a napkin.
(says the alumnae that stands at the door collecting cups and napkins from PNMs)
