how much does it help to know people

I know a kid in a fraternity I want to get into. He likes me and we were friends. How much does that usually help?

Since all your posts are basically the same topic, here is the answer to all of them.

Becoming a member of a Greek organization isn't like graduating from high school. You don't automatically get to join just by checking off the "requirements." There are a lot of intangible things that come into play like your personality and how you interact with the members.

Every organization is different, and every chapter of those organizations are different. We can't tell you what they all are looking for in a new member. We can't give you "odds" or "probabilty" or anything like that.

Your GPA, community service and friendships are what they are. You can't change them at this late date. Just go to school and go through rush.
